This one in particular. Modern technology is amazing! After your review (and if I had the $moolah$) I'd wanted to go right out and buy this lens... The in-camera correction -- or should I say lack of distortion -- is fantastic! Thanks for keeping me up on things. You've sparked a renewed interest in photography for me. Glad to hear your daughter was equally inspired. With the full frame sensor and 21.6 mp's you have the incredible crop factor! Since you have such a sharp image, you can do pretty substantial cropping and still have an extremely high resolution picture, which in turn makes your 300mm lens an 800mm lens.....give or take depending on how much you actually cropped. As far as print size limitations with the 50D, I do fine art photography and have several prints that are 16X20 that are sharp as a tack and they were all taken with my 40D! I guess those are two more thing's to consider.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06071087447392836065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3944409625504875385.post-31989018272375238872009-01-23T19:00:00.000-06:002009-01-23T19:00:00.000-06:00Ha ha! I've been using a 400D for about two years and was thinking of upgrading.

The thing is the 5D might be a bit overkill as I've learned it's not really worth it unless your using the L-Series lenses... and they are mega bucks.

If I'm not going for the 5D I might just not bother with upgrading at all as the 400D is much the same.

I'm torn...

Ben
info@thedesigncartel.co.ukAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3944409625504875385.post-42620947571950050812008-08-08T23:45:00.000-05:002008-08-08T23:45:00.000-05:00I did not intend to name names but you are correct...I did not intend to name names but you are correctMichael Margolieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13370123818021783579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3944409625504875385.post-41828021109073165832008-08-08T10:31:00.000-05:002008-08-08T10:31:00.000-05:00Was this Arts?
